What is Thai massage ?

Traditional Thai massage is a relaxing but energising treat, dealing with muscular problems and enhancing flexibility. It involves firm pressing (with palms, thumbs, elbows, knees and feet) and gentle but purposeful stretching of muscles. The treatment can be softer or deeper depending on client’s preference.

Using Thai massage

  • Relieves symptoms of arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis by gently improving mobility of joints
  • Relieves stress, relaxing and energising at the same time
  • Restores muscle balance, stops degeneration of muscles and preserves good muscle tone
  • Deals with stiffness and loss of flexibility

What to expect from a session

At the first appointment a medical health history will be taken. During the massage the client will remain fully clothed but may need to remove socks.

No oils are used throughout the treatment. The traditional 2-hour sequence involves lying comfortably on the back, sides, front and sitting. TROUSERS MUST BE WORN AND LOOSE COMFORTABLE CLOTHING.
