What is Aromatherapy? 

Aromatherapy is a relaxing massage using essential oils (from plants, trees, flowers, leaves, fruit, sap, seeds, berries, bark and wood) diluted in a carrier oil. Using a specific blend of essential oils, based on the needs of the client, the aroma influences the mood. Each essential oil has distinct healing properties. For example some calm the nervous system while others energize.

The aromatherapy massage will relax and comfort, whilst the oils take their effect on the system balancing physically, mentally, and emotionally.

A consultation will take place where your needs and preferences will be taken in to consideration as well as taking a full medical case history. Essential oils will be selected and tailored to your specific requirements to create a synergistic blend. Aromatherapy massage is a full body treatment affecting the back, legs, arms, abdomen, head and face. Energy channels within the body are worked upon using pressure points to help unblock and slowly disperse energy as well as relieving tension from the nerve tracts. Lymphatic drainage techniques hasten the removal toxins from the body. Other techniques include deep tissue, connective tissue, neuromuscular and effleurage which all help to increase vitality and energy in the body, as well as relieving tension from the muscles.
