Hello, I have had a continuous problem with knots & tension in my upper back, neck & shoulders. In most cases my partner can eventually knead them out or they seem to go away, however for the last 3 months now I have had a persistent severe problem in my right shoulder/neck area which I can not clear.
I have used a tens machine, muscle gels, had deep tissue massage’s which identified numerous knots in both shoulders but the right side is what is bothering me so much. I am now taking regular pain relief and it is really getting me down.
Is acupuncture an ideal solution for me? if so how long are the sessions? would it cure the problem or even just provide sustained pain relief? How long would a consultation take etc. I have never consider acupuncture before but anything that could ease or solve the problem would be a very welcome relief.
Any info you could provide is appreciated
Natalie

hi,
I have been fairly active for most of my life (football, tennis and running)but over the past 6 years or so have been experiencing increasing pain in hip, especially groin area and top of femur. It has had a major impact on my life style( weight gain and level of activity). Recently I had a procedure done on my hip to relieve pain (injection of local anesthetic) and to make an accurate diagnosis. I am in desperate need of help as my movement is limited and miss an active life style. Look forward to hearing from you.
Anthony.
Steve,
Thanks for your enquiry.
Wrist injuries are very common and normally occur because of one or two issues. Either the wrist has come under one episode of heavy, intense load and failed ie tennis. Or, it is suffering with repetitive strain ie computer work. In your case it maybe a little of both.
All our practitioners have same day availability and offer a free initial consultation to assess and diagnose your complaint.
Hope this helps, and we’ll look forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
Ben Barker
Hi,
I’m a keen tennis player and I have recently been suffering from a pain in my wrist. I’ve just come back form an intense few days of training playing 4 hours a day for 3 days so I wonder if that could be the problem? I don’t think I have a bad technique which has made me think about other ways I might have injured myself. Maybe it’s the position i sit at my desk… Anyway, I’m hoping you can offer me some advice.
Thanks
Steve
