Catherine Blount
BSc (Hons) Nutritional Therapy, MBANT
I spent the first two decades of my working life in engineering, but have always been interested in food and nutrition. After the birth of my first child, I began retraining as a nutritional therapist and, when pregnant with my second child, I left the engineering industry to set up my own business. Since 2000, I have been providing one-to-one nutritional therapy for private clients, as well as offering a range of workshops, seminars and consultancy to busines.
Expertise: Nutritional Therapy and Allergy Testing,Nutritional Therapy and Allergy Testing

I am a vegan, and regularly take B12 supplement, and on blood tests I never show any B12 deficiency. However, I have some problems with numbness in the feet, and am
having some chiro treatment, and advised to have a check whether or not B12 is being
distributed around the body efficiently. So my question is:
Do you do hair analysis as I understand that this would show whether B12 is being
distributed properly around the tissues. This is my only reason to make an
appointment as I am not looking for advice on nutrition otherwise.
Sheila,
We do offer hair analysis as a means of investigating B12 deficiency, and we have two nutritionists who would be able to assess this for you.
However, there are many reasons that patients can suffer with numbness to the feet, and B12 is only one of them. If your B12 blood test is clear, there maybe another reason for your symptoms.
I would be happy to discuss this matter with you either over the phone or in a direct consultation.
Feel free to contact the clinic for more information.
