Can I use my health insurance?
Absolutely. There are many different health insurance schemes available and they all have differing requirements in how they work. Our practitioners are registered with all the relevant governing and insuring bodies. Our reception advisors can help you with your claim
Are you registered?
Simply. Yes. It’s illegal not to be registered with the relevant governing bodies, and you can easily check on their website.
My Gp Said…
… to rest….to take pain killers…..to leave it two weeks etc
We work alongside many of the local Doctors and consultants and are often on first name terms with them. Some even work at the clinic. It is for this reason we can say, Doctors are overworked and have too little time to always do what is absolutely best. They recommend and do what they can. Which is often to prescribe medication & rest and hope the problem clears. However, if you have had this problem for greater than 48 hours and it is showing little or minimal improvement, we recommend you contact the clinic.
It’s my age!
Rubbish!
People do not get injured because they age, they get injured because of what they do. If you’re 65 years of age with an arthritic hip, shoulder, back etc I can say with some certainty that the other hip, shoulder is just as old!! We do not need to return your body back to as it was when you where 18, only to before it became painful.
Will it return?
Many people believe that once you’ve had a back back etc you’ll always suffer. Not true.
Again, people injure themselves because of the lifestyles they choose. Their job, posture, hobbies, habits, weight, fitness. If you change some of these you can expect to break that cycle of pain and dysfunction.
A definition of madness is to keep doing the same things and expect different results! Are you mad?
Can you treat…?
With the diverse nature of the clinic and the therapies on offer, you would be surprised at the number of problems we can help with. If you think you have a condition that may be difficult or unresponsive to treatment, simply call the clinic and speak to one of the many practitioners who can advise you. Alternatively, take advantage of our free consultations.
You can’t treat…
Many patients have becomed programmed into accepting the problems that they have, and have become conditioned into believing that nothing can be done. It is extremely rare that nothing can be done to help, and our therapists are able to give honest and clear advice. You just have to call.
Whats the difference between Physiotherapy, Osteopathy and Chiropracting?
There are many similarities and only a few differences. Most of our practitioners selectively choose the best parts of all the therapies available. But, for clarity, physiotherapy leans towards rehabilitation and the use of exercise and ultrasound to promote healing. Osteopathy and Chiropracting are more similar again. Both look at spinal alignment as a key part in physical recovery and use manipulation (clicks and pops) of the spine to encourage healing, along with massage, advice and exercise.
I’ve tried that treatment, it didn’t work.
Many of our patients have tried alternative therapies at other clinics. Some have worked and others haven’t. If your looking at this website, you’ve probably not had treatment before, or what you have had has not worked. The Total Health Care Clinics approach is simple. We view each therapy as a tool to help fix you. You need to have the correct tool for the right problem.
Which is best? A screwdriver or a spanner? The answer….. it depends whether its screws or nuts and bolts your dealing with. Both are equally unhelpful in the wrong situation.
Our reception advisors or practitioners can provide you with details of what should suit you best.
